The Troxler 3430 gives you the fast, accurate and consistent results you need
to meet the testing requirements of today’s construction projects. The 3430 model
provides the basic characteristics required to determine the density of asphalt, soil,
aggregates or concrete and soil moisture or aggregates. She and the other 3400 series gauges
replaced conventional density testing methods and became the standard for
industry. The Model 3430 gives you a choice of backscatter or direct transmission for
density measurement and backscattering for humidity measurement.
The 3430 conforms to standard test methods ASTM D-2922, D-3017, D-2950, C-1040 and
AASHTO T-310. The gauge directly displays wet density, humidity, dry density,
percentage of humidity, percentage of compaction, rate of void and percentage of voids
